Smart Start focuses on school readiness. We strive for children to be able to read and write fluently by the time they enter first grade. Our teachers create lesson plans that align with Idaho state standards. Our students enjoy coming to school to learn and play. We are honored to be the choice of many families for early education in Coeur d’Alene!
Curriculum
Reading/Writing
We practice Handwriting Without Tears that has proven to provide much success for our learners!
Math/Science
Implementing fine motor and engaging hands on STEM activities in our curriculum provides strong life skills.
Art
We encourage creativity and imaginative thinking. Our students explore creativity, focus, and confidence here!
Critical Thinking
Dramatic play and hands on learning help our students explore the opportunity to make choices and find a new connection to themselves.
Enrollment
We are currently enrolling ages 2 through advanced Pre-K
Curriculum
Our school is IdahoSTARS State certified and we follow research based academic curriculum.
Programs
We offer extracurriculars throughout the year such as Spanish, ballet, and Amazing Athletes.

We provide a safe and caring environment. Our staff is extensively background checked and CPR and First Aid certified.
